Cheers to Craft Beers and Microbrews Close to Home!

With the emergence of some fine micro-breweries and tap rooms, Lancaster County is becoming a paradise for both seasoned and novice beer connoisseurs. The Historic Smithton Inn is within a short driving distance of some of the best brew pubs and eateries that feature their own-made craft beer and excellent food. If you love a good brew – or simply enjoy a fun casual setting with great eats – I encourage you to add one of the below establishments to your “to do and see” list:

St. Boniface Craft Brewing Company 

We’re thrilled to have this marvelous gathering place so close (within 5 minutes in fact!) to the inn! St. Boniface serves pints and fills growlers of its flagship brews. They also serve food via a rotation of specialty food trucks and Little Nicky’s, a nearby Italian restaurant.

Black Angus Restaurant and Pub/ Stoudt’s Brewery

Within a half hour drive down Route 272 South, Black Angus features its on-site brewery’s seasonal and specialty craft beers and a menu focused on specialties made from locally-produced and organically-farmed ingredients. You can even take a free tour of the brewery on Saturdays or Sundays at select times.

Union Barrel Works serves fine food and hand-crafted brews in the ambiance of a beautifully renovated turn-of-the-century building. From our B&B, you can be there in just 15 minutes by traveling N. State Street from Ephrata directly into Reamstown.
