Spring is here and Lancaster County theater venues are celebrating all season long with exciting

shows of many varieties.

Here’s a lineup of some of the entertainment options in store for you:


Ephrata Performing Arts Center / Sharadin Bigler Theatre – EPAC showcases Broadway-quality performances featuring blossoming talents. And it’s all just one short mile from the Historic Smithton Inn. This season features classic comedy at its best.

Monty Python’s Spamalot

The Odd Couple (Neil Simon)
June 11 to June 27

Ephrata Main Theatre – Located in the gorgeous art deco inspired Brossman Business Complex, the Ephrata Main Theatre runs feature and classic films, plus it has a live stage where it hosts concerts and where Community Arts Foundation of Ephrata (CAFE) presents top-notch theater productions.

Fulton Theatre – Within a half hour ride from our location, the Fulton Opera House is considered America’s oldest continuously run theater. Its history alone is breathtaking. In addition to the various plays and musicals, starting May 29, 2015, guests can register for tours of the building.

Sight & Sound Theatre – Just 20 miles from the Historic Smithton Inn, Sight & Sound literally brings life to stories of the Bible. Each experience is both enlightening and entertaining, with many shows even featuring live animals. You can even register for a behind-the-scenes experience during which you can get a firsthand look at how the crew of Sight & Sound gives life to these beloved Bible stories.

Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre – If you’re looking for dinner and a show, the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre gives you just that. Events range from musicals and murder mysteries to evenings of musical tributes. If you have other dinner plans, you can always purchase tickets solely for a show.

Rainbow’s Comedy Playhouse – Comedy is plentiful at the Rainbow Dinner Theater. Enjoy dinner and a show just half an hour from the Historic Smithton Inn.

Hershey Theatre – West on Route 322, only 40 miles from the inn, the Hershey Theatre brings guests a wide variety of entertainment. From concerts to Broadway performances and classic films, you are sure to have an exciting experience at any event.
