I’ve enjoyed reading all the blog and facebook posts out there announcing that Spring is finally here: daffodils are coming into bloom, we no longer need to wear those heavy jackets and you can’t help notice that it’s still light at 7:30 pm! There are many
reasons to be glad for the arrival of Spring, not the least of which is the return of civilized electric bills! But one of the things I’m looking forward to most is SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND!
What’s that you ask? Well even if you’ve never heard of it, you can tell by the name that it’s something big… and that it is. Spring Extravaganza Weekend is to Antique enthusiasts what Sundance is to film buffs.

Adamstown is always a great place for antiquing, but during Extravaganza weekend, even more dealers display their wares, hour of operation are extended and bargains abound. Shupps Grove, a wonderful outdoor market that hibernates for the winter will be open again too. Click here for the list of dealers.
Lancaster County Bed and Breakfasts tend to fill up on Extravaganza Weekend, so if you’re interested in checking out the scene be sure to book your room early. Just six miles from the ‘antiquing action’, you can book your room with us via the Historic Smithton Inn
