Thanksgiving Dinner in Lancaster PA

September 28, 2022

While many of our B&B guests coming into town for Thanksgiving are here to visit with family, some are just coming to ‘get away’ and need somewhere to eat dinner on Thanksgiving Day.  If you fall into this category, we’ve put together a list of restaurants that are traditionally open and serving on Thanksgiving.

We offer these additional suggestions:

  • Plan early: With so few restaurants open on the holiday, they fill up quickly.

  • Call and Make a Reservation: Reservations are DEFINITELY needed… anyone trying to go out to eat ‘on the fly’ Thanksgiving Day will be struck grabbing burgers at Sheetz!

  • TIP GENEROUSLY! Your hosts, servers and cooks are all giving up their own Thanksgiving celebrations to take care of YOU.  Showing your appreciation will be greatly appreciated.

  • Keep in mind… we’ll be serving a hearty, homecooked breakfast to our B&B guests on Thanksgiving morning, so you should probably make your reservations for early-afternoon or later… or let us know, and you can just skip breakfast.

Restaurants connected to hotels:

Restaurants connected to large hotels are always a great place to find dinner on a holiday, because they need to stay open to give their own guests a place to eat!  We’ve personally eaten at all of these and even on a holiday when staffing can be tough & volume can be high, they put out a great spread!
